Hi Roly,

Hi Roly,

Can do this weekend, but tides this end are middle of the day so it doesn't give me all that much sailing time to rendezvous. Where were you thinking of going?

Regards J

Hi all . For this coming

Hi all . For this coming weekend 31st to 2nd how about we meet up Yarmouth friday night then Saturday sail about and anchor or pick up a buoy in Newtown Creek for the night. Alternatively Lymington.

The following weekend Stuart how about we sail hamble to Lymington on the Saturday. I could collect you from station in Southampton. If wind and weather were good we could even make Poole on Saturday . Any other crew welcome.

Hi Roly. By happy coincidence

Hi Roly. By happy coincidence, we are presently moored outside mr Ainslie’s HQ in Portsmouth. We were planning to travel west via Yarmouth so will hopefully join you. Weather looks great at the mo so should work out. My only reservation is that we had a bit of steering problems last weekend on our trial sail but if this is resolved, we’ll see you there. If not, happy sailing. J

Roly

Roly,

Roly,

I regret that Friday now is out for me so I'll leave as early as possible on Saturday - around 11.30am - and try and catch up. Perhaps you could let me know your plan for Saturday when it's ready, and also the group VHF channel. Please remember to bring the replacement spreader with you.

Regards, John R 'Sonny' 26M

Hi Roly

Hi Roly

Sorry I've been quiet, been away in the campervan for a week and not keeping up!

I'll join you this weekend in White Lightning (just me), I'll sail down to Yarmouth on Friday. Are you planning a lunch stop anywhere particular?

Rick Jones (Treasurer), former 26X & 19 owner, Isle of Wight

Peter and I will set off from

Peter and I will set off from Hamble about 2pm , ie after lunch since tidal flow will be against us till then . See you at Yarmouth in evening Rick. Shame about John but we can work around it and meet on Saturday.

Kara and I will be leaving

Kara and I will be leaving Portsmouth for Cowes around 11, have lunch and head over to the Yar. Should end up there around the same time as you guys. 1600hrs? My phone number is 077225207916 or if you’re feeling technical you can try the DSC but don’t be upset if I can’t work out how to use it and you don’t get a reply or possibly a mayday back in reply! Proteus’ MMSI is 235100574 or my handheld is 235916971. I have also put the club MMSI into the VHF. See you on the water. J

Great James see you there .

Great James see you there . Fair weather forecast should be good though wind light. Will try to hail on the water.

Roly

Hi,

Hi,

First, i should like to thank roly, rick, john, james, kara, for their pleasant company, whilst crewing for roly, over the weekend of the 31/aug/18 to 2/sept/18. Thank you people, excellent. Special thanks to roly, for the kind offer of crewing ARANAH. As a newby to sailing, i suspect, there cannot be a more experienced skipper of a mac than roly, who patiently takes the time to pass on his knowledge to others, like myself. I can without doubt, state that i learnt quite a lot, including just what a mac is capable of. i was lucky enough to purchase a 26m at the end of last year, although i never had any doubts, i now realise what an excellent craft it is. I would state, i never bought helena rose to cross the atlantic/pacific in a F10 as it was never designed for that, (designated cat C coastal) therefore, that only leaves me to say again, thank you roly, much appreciated.

kind regards, peter c.
