We have yet to decide on the arrangements for the 2024 AGM, more will be posted here as soon as we can.
BUT... we would very much like to have some suggestions from members for any items to go on the agenda. If there's something you'd like to be aired at the meeting, please let us know here as soon as possible.

Full AGM details
The MOA committee would like to invite all members to attend our Annual General Meeting which is to be held on 9th March at 3 to 5 pm, on-line via Zoom. The link for this will be announced in due course.
The decision to go for a virtual AGM once again was influenced by our recent survey that indicated that 25% of our membership would find it too difficult to travel to a face-to-face event and also by the broad inclusivity of membership attendance that we have noted in the last few Zoom AGMs.
Please don’t be put off by a business sounding name, our AGM is run as much as a sharing event as it is to complete any formal admin, and provides openness and inclusivity. So we'd love to see as many faces as possible, if even only for a part of the meeting. We realise that the timing won't suit everyone but hopefully is OK for most.
AGENDA
OFFICERS
The Commodore will stand down, and the current Vice Commodore, Liz Healey, is nominated to take over.
All other existing committee members have agreed to stand again, so the proposals are:
This leaves the Vice Commodore position vacant, we are looking for volunteers and nominations! The Vice Commodore will normally take over the role of Commodore in two year's time.
The Commodore and VC posts are not onerous but are a chance for anyone in the Membership to guide and steer “our MOA ship” in line with popular thought, both moderating and inspiring.
Our survey has also revealed that there are a significant few that are keen to lend a hand in the running of our Association, so to this end we will be asking for volunteers to assist in various specific areas, e.g. Web site, Publicity, Event management, etc.
Lastly, WE NEED YOUR IDEAS!
We would like to hear suggestions for changes in the way we do things and especially for any future boating events, as well as a venue for the 2025 Big Mac.
Please post any ideas here on the forum, ideally at least two weeks before the AGM to give us all time to think about them or toss them around in the forum.
We look forward to meeting you online!
