The 2023 AGM is being held online on Saturday 18th February at 4:00 pm.
The online format has been very successful the last few years, as it allows members to participate who might otherwise find it difficult to travel to a physical meeting.
A M.O.A.N. interim news note is being posted this week with all the details, and can also be viewed/downloaded below.
We hope you will be able to attend, and we're especially interested in any ideas you may have about what the MOA should be doing, and any ways we can make your membership help you get more out of your sailing.
Looking forward to meeting many of you (virtually!) on 18th.

HEY GUYS ! THIS IS JUST A REMINDER ABOUT OUR ZOOM AGM ON 18TH FEB.
In the last 3 years we have found the Zoom AGM to be a surpisingly fun way to start the Macgregor year , put on our "boating heads ", peel back our boat covers and sort out the repairs or improvements needed to enjoy our wonderful craft this year . The AGM is much more than an exercise in reviewing facts and figures . It is good to acknowledge the things people have bren doing to keep our organisation going and to hear how the boats are being used all over the country and beyond . Its great to put faces to names , especially new ones , and to share our experiences and knowledge and any plans we have but with 2023 now under way we shall be looking ahead to 2024 and where we hold our Big Mac gathering .
so.....DONT FORGET TO SIGN IN ....AND JOIN IN .....see you there ...Rick will circulate joiining details later

Hi Rick, Roly and the rest of the Team,
Thank you for your efforts!!
I will endeavour to join for at least a part of the meeting on Saturday. I just need to navigate my way around the kids and myriad of other tasks that I get set across my weekends.
BigMac is in the diary and hoping to get to Lechlade as well.
Matt

Really enjoyed the AGM

Really enjoyed the AGM meeting, nice to put face's to names. Lot's of good ideas discussed. I certainly liked the idea of a Mac meet on the south coast. Possibly Chichester to Weymouth stoping of at different marina's and bay's. Really interested in a meet in the lakes, just need to know what the requirements are for being on lake Windermere. I'm in the process of obtaining a 15 ton press so will be able to change ALKO wheel bearing's so anyone in travelling distance of York can certainly come and use it. I was really looking forward to going to Lechlade but sorry to say my wife's brother is visiting us from Australia throughout April, fingers crossed for next year. Our Mac ANDIAMO goes in to a marine workshop this week for some minor Hull damage (done by the previous owner) and a good tidy up of the gel coat.
Just a thought following

Just a thought following discussion at AGM. How about advertising Lechlade, BigMac and Chichester on Andrew's Facebook page.
Make it clear it is an association gathering but anyone welcome. We can then press gang any new people into the club and if they don't want to join then fine. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
Definitely. I put the AGM on

I Jonathan, ref the AGM, I have to say, Saturday at 4pm is peak busy weekend time/Diy/kids/run outboard/trailer maintenance.... etc.
I wonder if we would have got a few more if this has been a Sunday evening...?
If it had been a six nations weekend it would of been a tough call for me ;)
Yes we specifically avoided 6

Yes we specifically avoided 6 nations, but I think you are quite right. Weekday evening is my choice even though I am theoretically retired. Every day is a work day now. When I worked the weekend was for my working on our smallholding and building our house. Monday was a poor day at paid work as I was always tired out!
