The Commodore's next boat?

Forums:

Is our esteemed Commodore planning to leave the ranks of MacGregor owners after his term in office finishes?

These photos show a nice craft moored in Sliema harbour, Malta, in November.
A clever place to hide it Mike, but we have spies everywhere!

The name emblazoned on the stern gangway is a bit of a give-away, I'm jealous.

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all owners of MacGregors (and other boats!),
and wishing you all fair winds and calm seas in 2011. :D

Stolen...

Forums:

Hi

Tuesday night won't be forgotten so soon...

I parked the car and trailer with boat in front of a friend home at 20 h.

At 23h after a nice dinner I was going to the car and :o :o :o "BIG SURPRISE".

An empty space on his place... :? :|

I run to the police (GNR - Portuguese National Guard) they put up an national warning.

In 5 hours they recovered car and boat almost intact 200 km away hidden in a small village .

Help needed w/e 23/24 October...

Forums:

Hi all. I’ve had a phone call today from a member with a 26C at Twickenham Yacht Club with a desperate call for help. The boat actually belonged to their son who is currently abroad and unable to return. It has been for sale for a while and they have finally found a buyer but they have a problem.
They have no towing vehicle and no experience of retrieving and need help to get the trailer from Twickenham to Chertsey and then to pull the boat out. The new buyer is also a novice!

More Trailer Woes.

Being Land Yacht(Caravan) users for a few years we got the bug for sailing and quickly completed our RYA Day Skipper in Greece.
Myself and Avril had viewed a few Macs before meeting a lovely couple on the Norfolk Boards who showed us round the inside of their Mac, they were members of the UK user group and after our meeting we were convinced the Mac was the right boat for us, so the next step was to get our Mac .

Hi Folks,
My name is Ray and I have just purchased a 26x.
In the past my wife Pauline and I have owned 2 powerboats Scroo U 1 and Scroo U 2 (We were all young once :D ) an Alacrity 18 (Spindrifter) a SnapDragon 24 (bought as a project but sold on without sailing through lack of time) and a Leisure 22 (Trinkamalee).

We haven't decided on a name for the Mac yet....we are still thinking about it. ;)

Looking forward to being part of the forum and the advice to be gained from experienced owners.

Ray
