Windermere

Forums:

Andy Vincent (Black Shadow) mentioned the possibility of organising an event on Windermere in the autumn, and the idea came up again while we were around Anglesey. Andy is proposing start dates of 27th September or 4th October from the slipway at Ferry Nab. If anyone who fancies this could express their interest here and preference for a date, then Andy will provide more details and make plans.

Certificate of compliance - EU

Forums:

I've received an email from long-time member John Denman. He's had his 26X in France for several years, and is now selling it to a Belgian. The buyer says he needs an EU certificate of compliance to be able to register it in Belgium.

Personally I have no clue about this, does anyone know what is involved, whether such certificates exist and even if it is in fact necessary? John would appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer.

TIA

West coast of Scotland trip

Forums:

I am planning a trip launching from dunstaffnage marina, Oben and possibly sailing as far out as the Isle of Barra, weather permitting. Date not finalised yet but thinking end of may early June for around 7 days. Will be mainly at anchor in beautiful anchorages with marina/harbour where possible. Anyone interested in joining me, be nice to have a group of McGregors?
