Mac 19 Lifting Points

Hi there, I'm having my 19 lifted from its trailer and I've been asked to identify the lifting points. I've searched the forum and Google but no joy. Does anyone know the answer?

Hi Peter

Hi Peter

I don't think MacGregor identify specific lifting points. The hulls are strong in relation to their weight - they have to be to withstand bouncing around on a trailer.

Assuming a sling lift, I would just ask the operator to put the slings close to where the bunks are. I've had mine lifted like that without any problems.

I get my boat lifted in and

I get my boat lifted in and out every year at MDL,

they have never asked me where to lift from.

I have a 26X and they make a judgement and put straps just before and just after the swing keel.

I usually check to see if the keel drops OK when it is on the crane.

Since I stopped using my road trailer in the sea I have noticed a big reduction in servicing requirements on the trailer.
