I've been waiting until the Solent adventure was over before posting.
In the hope that Mim and I can make the trip it being somewhat health dependent I have just registered Mist with Waterways Ireland, apparently required for all boats on the Shannon navigation having an enclosed cabin and engine in excess 15HP. Registration is free. https://www.waterwaysireland.org/boat-owners/craft-registration. The process is a bit long winded as there are two stages to get through.
Has anyone enquired about parking vehicle and trailer at Dromineer. Perhaps our lovely Irish members can advise.
There's a free car park at Domineer. When I did this jaunt last time, I left the boat on the trailer in the car park for a week while we toured around in the van. Tom said it would be quite safe - he was right!

Thanks Jonathan
Although I have registered I cant see an obligation to display the registration number!

I'm thinking of setting up a UK Eire WhatsApp group as Tom has sent me some plans if everyone is OK with that?
