Suggested as the best all rounder. Our one presently good only for mud and a lunch stop. Not good enough to sleep over. What do others use.
How would you best store this type for quick deployment.

The problem with this is that it probably won't fit your anchor locker. Macgregor recommended Fortress anchor but I initially baulked at cost , buying a cheaper and much heavier steel version but it never held well despite lots of chain so I relented and bought a genuine Fortress, biggest that would fit , and it works a treat ! And so heavy to manoeuvre through the pulpit plus reduced nose weight since v light Aluminium.

If you want a good guide take a look at SV PANOPE on You Tube. This guy is an expert on every sort of anchor and tests them all in various sorts of sea beds he has posred more than 100 video's .
For a comparison of all types of anchor have a look at his No.100 video .
Hope this helps,
John
I use a Manson Supreme (the Rocna designer claimed they stole his design) on the bow I think 11kg but can't really remember, it holds really well and hangs over the roller perfectly. I have put a steel hoop over the top so that it can't jump off the roller. I keep the alluminium Fortress anchor as a kedge and back up anchor.
