Newsletter/Magazine, Spring '21, No. 106

Hello everyone,

Further to Roly's review of Saturday's Zoom meeting, I'd like to briefly expand on his point about the next Newsletter. As Editor, I am hoping to establish a routine of two MacGregor Sailor's each year, one in the Spring and one in the Autumn. I imagine it will be easier to find copy for the Autumn edition, reporting on everyone's summer adventures. The Spring edition might be trickier. PLEASE can I ask you all to consider any contribution you could possibly make.

I was greatly heartened by the responses I received from last year's 'newbies' who provided excellent introductions and would appreciate hearing from other new or relatively new members. But, it would be good to have a Member Updates section in the Newsletter in which all members could add a few sentences about where they are at with their boats, plans for the future and anything else that might interest to or amuse the membership.

The best stuff of course are actual accounts of your sailing adventures and, if any of you have been lucky enough to get out in your boats, do send in reports and pictures. I received an excellent report from John Pompei recently that simply detailed three key moments of adventure in his boat - you'll have to wait and see what they were - and, as I think you will find, it made for an interesting read.

So, please connect with the association, support the Newsletter and share your experiences, aspirations and, in some cases I am sure, your MacGregor problems.

PM me with copy or send to editor@macgregorowners.org.uk

Thank you.

A superb publication, Quentin

A superb publication, Quentin.

Many congratulations and a BIG thanks to all contributors.

Without an editor there would be nothing to contribute to and without contributors there would be little to publish so thanks to all.

Simon Armitage.
