I wonder if anyone knows the type of wood that the tillers are made of that were supplied with the Cs? I am giving mine a bit of a clean up and am curious. Could it be teak?

I think it's probably teak, as you suggest. My 19 has a wooden tiller, and that looks very much like teak to me. Mine also needs a varnish - another job for the winter!

Looks like mahogany (sapele to be exact)
