When I bought my 2000 26X it had what I assume was the original American mega cooler filling the entire under seat section of the aft table seat. It sat in a fibre glass box which I think is standard.

This seemed like a waste of storage space because I could not see how I needed that much cooler space.

I bought a smaller cooler in Asda for £10 and a couple of complimentary freezer blocks that slot into the lid for £1 this week.

By chance, the cooler is the exact size to push down securely into the middle of the grp box forming three roughly equally sized compartments. I used 1 for hard goods such as cans, plates and camping pans, 1 for soft food such as bread and the cooler for essentials like beer and water bottles. The cooler/freezer blocks seems efficient and kept the beer cold for 48 hrs.

Easiest and cheapest mod found yet.
