This thread is to discuss ideas following on from the notice of closure in the latest issue of the magazine.

For information, the library lent 3 items at the 2014 AGM, 4 at the 2015 AGM and nothing has gone out by post in the last couple of years. Personally I am of the very strong opinion that the library itself now serves no really useful purpose with the advent of the electronic age…

However, YOU might feel differently! Do you want to take on the challenge of bringing the role up to date? Perhaps the role could encompass a focus on changing the web site as suggested at the last AGM - that could include library-type resources if appropriate, but also the presentation of information - a site “curator”. (Technical help available thanks to Rick…)

It is also suggested that we dispose of the Library assets - such as they are. All the charts are out-of-date and therefore not suitable for navigation and the majority of the remainder are VHS tapes. If there are no other workable suggestions we will probably sell them off at the AGM as the simplest and most cost-effective solution. The proceeds will go to a suitable charity (to be decided)
