Did you receive a suspicious email?

Important!

One member has notified me that he received a suspicious email apparently from "

", which is not an email address that we use. I found that I had also received the same thing, although my mail system had automatically filed it as junk.

The email has the subject "How are you", and the content is:
--------------------------------
Hello

You have received a new Google shared document.

Click here to view the document

Thanks
--------------------------------

If you click on "here" you are taken to a web page that asks you to "login with your name and password" but doesn't say what you're logging in to. It's clearly an attempt to harvest login details in pursuit of more nefarious activities.

Obviously if you have received one of these, best not to click on the link, and even more importantly don't enter any login information. If by any chance you've been caught out and did enter login details, please immediately change your password on any genuine sites it applies to. This is one of many good reasons not to use the same password on multiple sites!

Please let me know (either by reply here, private message, or email) if you've received one of these. I am a little concerned as to how a scammer could have acquired a list of members' email addresses, so it would help to know how widely the email was sent.

Many thanks
