We today received the sad news that Maurice Newman died yesterday morning in Llandough Hospital, Cardiff. He was fighting a battle against a brain tumour that was diagnosed only last November. He contracted pneumonia and was not strong enough to fight it. He will be very much missed by his friends and family, as well as everyone in the Association that had met him.

Maurice was a member since 2006, and a frequent rallier, happily towing his 26M "Cyan" long distances from South Wales to attend many events. He became well-known and liked for his unique brand of enthusiasm.

On behalf of the Committee and all members, the Commodore is sending our sincere condolences to Maurice's widow, Lyn.

The arrangements for the funeral are given below. The Committee is arranging for flowers "from all of Maurice's many friends in the MacGregor Owners Association" and a small donation is being made to Marie Curie from Association funds in memory of Maurice.

Additionally, members may wish to pay their own respects individually.

The Funeral will take place on Tuesday 28 August, 3pm at the Vale of Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium and afterwards at our home. RSVP by email to mauricelyn@bitterne61.freeserve.co.uk so we have an idea of numbers.
