We are about to fit a roller reefing genoa to our Mac 19. If we get the Plastimo kit it looks difficult to tension the forestay with the drum over the bottle screw. What sort of system do 26's have and how do you tension the forestay?

If it's like the CDI roller there's a pin through the side of the drum. Remove that. Then you can push the drum upwards to get at the bottle screw. This may require there to be no sail fitted if the sail comes down close to the drum - otherwise there may be room to push the drum up without disturbing the sail.
