When I first got the Mac one of my biggest problems was
coming alongside a jetty when there was a strong wind
If landing on the windward side all was well until you had
to leave
On the lee side as soon as the boat stopped away it would go

Too much windage not enough grip
Then I fitted a bow fender and everything changed
The bow fender is adjustable in height
Approach the jetty bow on
Rest the bow on the jetty and control the boats position
with the outboard
Walk forward with a bow line step of and tie the bow
Outboard in reverse and swing in the stern
No excitement and very controlled
