I was extreamly sorry to read in the new newsletter, that the Falmouth based importer for Macgregors has had to close due to the recesion. When I bought my used 'M' last year, I found Richard Hallowes very very helpful and a fount of Mac knowledge. It sounds as if he now has work with another business in the same area, and I can only wish him well and say how deflated I was to hear of their demise.
Let's hope that Macgregors sort out their position in the UK soon?

Any business Guru's out there, contact MacGregor there still is potential here in the UK.
Must admit I was interested in taking it on, in the big scheme of things they were not asking a lot of money. They spoke very highly of Richard Hallowes.
Great product, proven company, just the extended delivery schedules would make cash flow an issue IMHO.
I also noticed that Macgregor US was also suffering "production difficulties", but there was nothing specific noted.
Does anyone know if it is anything serious?

Further to Macgregor US closing down their base in Falmouth, I noticed that there is an outfit called Pacific Marine in Essex who have taken on the agency. Does anyone know anything about this or them?
