We spend our summers on Loch Lomond and
during a visit to Ardliu they told us that a MacGregor was coming to stay there
If you are going to return then, unless you are going to tour around in your
car more than sail, then you would be off slipping it at Balloch
The land is much flatter unlike the top of the loch where, due to the
mountains the wind is from the North or South
You can leave your car and trailer there and the slipway is the best on the Loch
To really enjoy the loch do not stay on a marina or jetty stay at anchor or
on the shore of one of the islands.
There is a right to roam in Scotland
and you can wonder around most of the islands.
When people get hooked on Loch Lomond then
they return every year.
We have been coming for the last 40 years and we still find something new
