It is with great envy and regret that I can't join you - but it looks like the weather is going to be nice for you so have a great sail and enjoy a tipple or two too.
I look forward to meeting up with some of you hopefully before the end of the season,
So if I have this right your sailing from Yarmouth on Friday to Portsmouth. Any chance I could crew for the day for that part of the trip if I got myself to Yarmouth before you all set off?
Hi Frank. Yes. Sailing Yarmouth to Portsmouth Friday which would be doable with wind and ride in favour of not the iron sail. Will need to leave quite early so you'd maybe need to be in Yarmouth Thursday night . We will already have 2 sleeping on my boat which is maybe all covid should allow although deck cushions in cockpit tent makes a third I suppose. Alternatively get to Warsash on the Hamble and crew with Stuart up to Portsmouth.
I would be interested in any comments from attendees regarding the preferrability or not of simply day sailing to Bembridge on Saturday with a return in the early ebb tide to Portsmouth, ? Haslar again .
I was meaning to beach the boats at Bembridge before high tide and leave after we float off.....it's just whether people want to stay on the beach overnight or not....May not be any facilities. Pub nearby. Should float again during the night for sleeping. It can be great fun and beach bbq relaxed but depends what people want.
Thanks for the invitation. I would love to join you for a meal on Saturday from 7.30.
If there is an opportunity to crew on the Sunday that would be a bonus.
Hi to all you Solent on the Side sailors,

BEST REGARDS,

Sorry Frank (Pitts). I may have confused things by changing things round a bit . We shall be in Haslar on FRIDAY 24th,
NOT Saturday.
Roly
No problem. Friday works too.

Thanks Roly. Having looked at the implications I think sailing from Warsash makes more sense.
Stuart, are you up for some company on Friday?

That would work, what about mooring over lunch time?
I gather the marina is booked up, but I guess they may be able to accommodate us for an hour or so mid-day.
