Since we are not having a Big Mac.....
HOW ABOUT A SNEAKY SOLENT ON THE SIDE!
Join me if you can for sailing on the Solent 23rd to 26th July planning to muster at the Hamble with possible launch at Hamble Point, convenient for Hamble or day sailing if weather poor. I'm thinking we plan to be on the water to meet up the evening of 22nd.
Please indicate in this forum if you're thinking of joining.
Crewing may be possible by arrangement with skipper but might require overnight accommodation on land.

I hope to be there. Not sure if I would overnight on 22nd, or sail across and join the group on 23rd.

I'll be there probably from 24th. May well have space for a crew mate during the day but not to kip onboard. See you there. Contact me via the forum if you fancy a day out on a 26X.
I would like to attend on my "Mac" without a mast! Subject of course to the weather as I will launch at Chichester and come over to the Hamble from there.

I'll try and get there. Might be my first launch!

Sounds like a great idea!
I'll try to attend.

We should also be able to make this event
we are putting the boat into Mercury until the end of September as we usually do.Launching next week.
will be able to confirm by Wednesday this week .

Ok. This sounds fun. Tide could be right on 23rd for an afternoon trip westerly to maybe Yarmouth and return next morning to collect Stu and maybe end up in Cowes or somewhere on the Medina. 25th sail to Portsmouth returning early Sunday morning before tide turns , or later with the iron sail! . We shall have to check out the covid precautions. If people prefer we can do shorter trips with more time for socially distanced consumption and communication...semaphore? I shall plan to be around the Hamble from Wednesday pm. to liaise with anyone and can certainly help with a launch.

Sounds good. I may skip Wednesday at Hamble and join the fleet heading for Yarmouth on Thursday. I think the weather prospects look quite good at the moment.

Sigh, I am grounded in OZ. Helena Rose is stored near carlisle uk, and i am jealous. Happy sailing fellow Mac'ers.

It seems I'm now needed for family things during Wednesday but I hope to be staying on the boat that night at a marina on Hamble .
