Ok so I think were up to 24 now with 13 or so staying for dinner out/ overnight .
We have reserved lunch for 30 so we shall be fine if a few others come along ....so dont feel bashful !
Unfortunately Rod and Gill Wassel who are local have a prior booked holiday but they will suggest some venues for the evening . Hopefully we can have a wonder around Warwick too.
Thanks to all who made the 2018 AGM happen. I was going to phone Roly then I remembered that his mobile was travelling elsewhere in the country! An interesting day was spoilt somewhat for me by feeling unwell, nevertheless I hope that the dinner at the Rose and Crown went well. I could not help but notice the large amount of uneaten food left over from the lunchtime buffet. May I venture to suggest that in future the MOA do not subsidise the AGM buffet but allow the partakers to order their own food themselves.

Thanks Nick, we had a good meal, sorry you weren't feeling too good. I take your point about the food, catering at the AGM is always a bit vexed. We've tried various schemes over the years, nothing works perfectly! We'll take all this year's experiences on board when planning next year.

As a new member I would like to say just how much I enjoyed and benefited from attending the AGM - many thanks to all of those that I met.
For any other new members or those who have not attended before I would just like to say that it was a pleasure to meet a like minded bunch of Mac owners who not only were more than keen to advise on many Mac issues but were great company too.
What probably made my weekend was gaining confidence from you all that I had made a good choice in buying a Mac - I can't wait now to get out on the water again and hopefully meet up with you all again at the BIG MAC event in July.
Nice one John, it was good to meet you too. It was a full and interesting day and I couldn't help notice that the most intense buzz of communication was going on during the breaks between business. I hope most of your queries were answered.
Particular thanks to Roly and Rick for doing the spade work and to everyone who made the effort to attend.
We are a small band of enthusiasts and make for an eclectic band of characters but the MacGregor bond is a strong one and though our boats are ageing I hope we can all continue to gain, in someway, from our our links to this friendly and inclusive association.

At the AGM we decided to award the Janita Shield to Tom O'Brien for all his work over the years making us British Mac sailors welcome in Ireland.
As Tom wasn't present, it fell to Neil McCann as sole delegate from the Emerald Isle to accept the shield on Tom's behalf (and take it back with him to give to Tom!).
