We have tickets for the London Boat Show in January, and I wondered if the MOA have a stand or whatever there? I know MacGregor is no more as a brand, but presumably the Tattoo (is that right?) will have a presence of some sort?
We're going on Tuesday 13th January, so if any of you are there on the same day and want to share a coffee and a chat, I'd be really happy to meet you there :) .

I doubt there will be a Mac or Tattoo presence. A stand is way beyond the means of the MOA, and Colin is no longer selling Tattoos. Currently there is no official UK dealer, we are trying to establish if anyone is going to take it on in future.

John It certainly is tempting but John are you on the Golf Stream down there in Bristol? Here we have palm trees, beautiful lagoons, isolated sandy bays and coves, Locks and sparsely or uninhabited Isles oh and a wet suit With thermals! With Simon offering tickets we trainee Scots from the south are prone to seduction. I shall see if a friend in Kent that is considering a boat purchase can put up with a boring, short stay, lodger that keeps wittering on about how brilliant his new Mac is and how he can’t wait for the spring. If I come say on Tues.13th (see Peters offer) do I wear my Pennant for recognition? if so any suggestions as to where? ;) I think the season demands a certain decorum when replying to this question. Bladnock? Wasn't that a character in The Goons? John, I'll PM you with my details, and if you manage to get down to the London Boat Show, perhaps we could have a chat nearer the day to arrange a place to meet?
And for what it's worth, you don't have to sell me on the beauty of the Scottish West coast; I have been there to hire a cruiser from Loch Goil many years ago and, and I hope one day to get my Mac up there and rediscover the the sailing grounds around Bute and Arran.

John your plan to adventure to Bute and Arran up here in the nether regions is another temptation even for the chat with you on the prospect. I will be meeting with my lowland friend from Kent for the Hogmanay at Durham Thursday-week for some of that Bladnoch stuff I was on about.
