Has anyone out there ever had to replace the stainless steel metal works associated with the pulpit?
The pulpit on Sushi is little bent shall we say after a minor bump last weekend with the jetty at Calshot in the Solent in strong winds.
I have had a good look at the fixings which appear to be bolted through the coachroof and there does not seem to be an obvious way to get at the nuts from the cabin without causing major demolition works to the lining
The metalwork is not badly distorted so I am thinking if I can release the pulpit I can take to a metal works an get it straightened out

Damaged Pulpit on Sushi a 26X

If you crawl into the foreberth, you'll find there's a panel in the roof at the fore end which can be unscrewed.Take this off and inside you'll see lots of polystyrene foam blocks - this is the safety flotation. You'll need to take most of this out, at which point you can access the underside of the foredeck and hence the nuts securing the pulpit.
It's going to be a fiddly job, with plenty of shouting through the forehatch (!), but can be done. The fun bit will be packing all those foam blocks back in again :)

Many Thanks Rick
Sounds like it is something I'm not going to resolve in a few days.
We are towing the boat to Portavadie at Loch Fyne this weekend for a weeks fun so it looks like this will be a job for the end of the season.
Another little project to look forward to.!
