I paid about 750 for a large Genoa about 4 years ago from NJO sails in Southampton. Nicky took over the Doyles loft so may have aquired the sizes from Doyle's who made the original sails. Job should be cheaper.

I think Dacron is still considered a good choice for long life cruising sails. I fancied a window. Whilst laminates are faster their life is much shorter.
Something I forgot that you might want to consider is that battens in jibs are very much 'in' especially in racing sails. Assuming you furl that means verticle battens. I guess, but don't know, that verticle battens would also work in a Genoa where horizontal battens might not survive.
Whether it's worth it for our boats I don't know. Someone's bound to have tried it in the States along with the 120hp outboard!
It's not part of the jib but just check you've got the job halyard with the decored end .
A large Genoa is always a bit of a compromise as it won't go quite so well onto wind as a tight jib ...but you can furl a Genoa where you can't enlarge a jib!
Chris at Blue Marine in Battlesbridge,Essex gave the quote after recieving the old one to copy.I like the idea of a window but will it compromise the furling ability or loose its clarity over time?
I assume the increase in size from factory standard improves performance but why did the originals not provide that extra sail area ? Maybe some consideration was given to rubbing ng against lifelines ?

Don't forget import duty and agents fees are liable.
