Hi All
The foresail on our 26M is an original Doyle sail from new 2005 but after several repairs I should now like to replace same
wether to Oder a standard jib or Genoa and from whom, perhaps members can advise.

Miriam was very jealous of Roly's Genoa, its a lovely big sail. Roly does like sailing on the edge of his boat, I like it a bit flatter.
A Genoa is said to furl down well to a jib but not sail well smaller due to loss of shape whilst a jib will furl quite small. When in sharp gusty weather I like to take advantage of furling the jib first as its so easy.
I am contemplating a new suit and was thinking of a 110% the jib is 100% and Genoa up to 150% I.e. a lot more sail.

Our jib has also deteriated but we have a spare Genoa.I wonder if we can simply use that instead and what implications it will present.I assume it can furl to jib dimensions as required.
Hi guys
thanks for response I wondered about 110% or so as should furl fine, we have a cruising chute albeit it takes abit of time to get it up whereas possibly a Genoa might act as similar and quicker.
Any suggestions of suppliers or costs

Aranah has a replacement Genoa made by no sails of shamrock quay Southampton. I don't know the exact size but it reaches well aft of the shrouds. It cost 700.00 plus vat so 840.00 It is made of a much heavier cloth than the original Doyle sail and had if strip.
Roly
Uv strip
Thanks for comments
I’ve just had a quote from Crusader sales for a 105% Jib with UV strip for £875including vat, this would seem more expensive than Roly’s (thanks Roly) Genoa pro rata.
any more suggestions or comments please

Sorry Ian I see autotype put no sails instead of NJO Sails. It's a really good Genoa.
Have you had a look at blue water yachts in Seattle?
Off the shelf part, 500-600USD, but shipping and import to pay.
Those of you who are looking for new sails I have found a website which gives prices for many boats including Mac's
RESEN.EU
They are in Denmark
I have no experience of how good they are but their prices look very reasonable.
I've looked at this company as well. I understand that the manufacture is in China and possibly someone our local companies use as 'middle men.
My fear is if something is wrong with what you receive. Even dealing with a company in Denmark is going to be tricky.
Does anyone have any experience of them.
