M galley front panel

Forums:

Hello all,

I was looking at my galley yesterday (while it was raining outside) and tried to remove the front panel that seems to be attached by four bolts with nuts behind, inside the storage area,

The right hand two were easy, but the left hand two are very obscured by the two little storage "slots" in the front panel. Am I missing something? Does the top come off? I could see any way to separate that either.

Thanks for any help...

Mainsail

Forums:

Hi everyone, my mainsail on my Mac 26x has come to the end of its life and I need a new one (the last one is original - 20 years old!). Also keen to make raising and lowering sails as easy as possible and lead everything back to the cockpit. Has anyone used the Mainmate system from Jeckylls (https://jeckells.co.uk/mainmate/)? The other question is whether fully battened sails would have any advantage over the current system.

26M daggerboard interior trim water damaged

Forums:

Hello all,

We now have Breckon in the water (Titchmarsh Marina) and can now focus on getting the details sorted, and could do with some help from more experienced heads please.

Interior is in fine shape, but the upper trim panel that sits around the centreboard housing below the cabin ceiling has been water damaged (that's another story) which has made the panel sag, revealing the wiring etc. behind it - see the blurry pic attached.

Cockpit table 26m

Forums:

Has anybody fitted a table in their cockpit. I would like to attach it to the wheel console cabin side. The console curves so I need to get a post that would fit. It also needs to swivel and detach so table top can be stored away when not in use. If anybody has recommendations it will help in my search.

Stern seat from BWY

Forums:

Hi everyone

I've got a 26m. Was having a conversation earlier on Facebook about the stern seats that BWY sell.

The woman who I think owns or runs BWY messaged me and said that the stern seats aren't compatible with EU boats. As in, as I've got a boat from the UK, the stern seat wouldn't fit my 26m.

I'm not really familiar with that amount of detail of these boats. Is this the case, that the UK mac is different somewhat?

Sailing nav etc upgrade

Forums:

Hi All
We currently have a lowrance x 49 (which came with the boat)
The depth transducer & speed wheel (stern mounted) seem ok, but the display is getting very hard to read
Although it's a fish finder I only use it for speed & depth (we are lake sailors)
Our windex also dropped to pieces when we launched a few weeks ago on derwent water.

So my question is, can anyone recommend a setup that could give us the following functionality
Primary Depth, speed, wind direction
Secondary wind direction

Additional storage?

Forums:

Is it possible to add cupboards in the cabin somewhere. Loads of space under the seats etc but I really feel it needs a cupboard for, well basically cups ! Maybe tea, coffee etc. I mean you don't wanna be lifting up the seats everytime you want to get a tea bag out or a cup etc. It needs a small cupboard tucked somewhere. I've a couple of ideas (see pic) but not sure if this is sacrilege. I'm new to sailing so forgive my ignorance. Just been cleaning her up getting ready to put back in the river (once this arctic weather passes !) and thought this needs more storage space. Thanks
