NOW IS THE TIME to give serious thought to whatever joint boating we do in 2027 !

As you may recall our aim was to have plans laid out at least a year in advance and in hence we have it in our plan to run an event in SCOTLAND next year .

We had a great time there in 2022 , helped by marvellous weather , launching at Largs and exploring around some of the islands in the Firth of Clyde . It is a really stunning area to sail in with various places to anchor or moor up for the night and maybe also to take time to explore on land . Jason McKenzie was the one who proposed returning to Scotland but he has now yielded to a temptation to buy himself a Beneteau ! He has however confirmed that he would be very happy to lead an event from Largs . I would be happy to join in with this but Im also keen to explore further up the coast beyond Mull . Last time two boats went through the Crinan Canal and then up to Tobermoray and I really enjoyed that area . Hence another option I have in mind is a launch from Oban .

These details can be worked out once we know who is keen and what they want . I would really hope that we can interest a few more of the Scottish members this time .

What about other events ? Pembrokeshire ? The South West or South East of England ? South Coast of England ? or maybe its time we did an Inland Waterways event ?....enjoying the true versatility of our boats .
