Replaced my old worn out rudder lines with 5mm Dyneema rope as I also installed auto-release cleats (CL251). My old rope is 9mm and will not work with the new cleats. I moused the new rope through the thin barrel from top to bottom by using rigging tape to join the old and new rope, and Neptune was playing around with me as I was doing this on my tender dinghy whilst moored. Went very smooth, except the downhaul bit as it had a cap which I carefully pried off exposing the stopper knot, which I managed to pry out with a long needle, and feeding the new rope through the small hole was a bit of a faff. I also lost my favourite Seiko watch which decided to drop off to Neptune's treasure trove! Anyway, hope those new auto-release cleats work if I ground the rudders in the shallows.
