Raising mainsail from cockpit of a 26 X

A member has asked me to post on his behalf a request for any suggestions regarding how he might set his boat up so he can raise the mainsail from the cockpit of his 26X.

Any advice gratefully accepted. I will forward all ideas to him via his email account.

Hi Quentin,

Hi Quentin,

Here are some pics of the base of my mast with blocks mounted on a ring/hoop, run to blocks on the midships stanchion and back to Spinlock PXR cam cleat/clutches on the cabin roof. Hopefully it's clear how it works. The Spinlock cleats are great as they allow one handed operation. Hope this helps. J
