hi again, as stated earlier, i am a total novice to sailing. i would like to ask a basic question. i imagine the jib/genoa halyard, (there is also the mainsail halyard of course) is redundant, (allthough very handy to fix to bow, as a backup to the furler/forstay) as the line/rope inside the furler does the job of raising the jib. as stated earlier, i will be replacing the line inside the foil. i noted in an earlier post, information on connecting a lazy line to the worn out original, (but unable to find now) if i use a 3mm rope, using heat to fuse to original and pull through, will that work. last simple question, if i may. have fellow members found the best lubrication to use inside the foil to assist the travel of the line. many thanks.
