our stove is dead so looking for a replacement.

any ideas? The stove is a Kenton which is American but I can’t seem to find a dealer in the UK?

We have an Origo 3000 2

We have an Origo 3000 2 burner spirit stove - its a proper cooking stove and came with the boat 10 years ago and still going strong - fast and hot as well as controllable heat which is unusual for a spirit stove. Keeps its fill and is sealed when not in use so no smell or loss by evaporation. Safe and works well with readily available meths fuel. We carry a spare Trango 1 litre fuel bottle but it doesn't need to be filled up very often as the burners hold plenty of fuel. The only downside I can think of is that you have to let it cool down before you can refill it but its never been a problem. It also has fiddler rails to keep the kettle or pans in place if there's a bit of sea movement. No gas bottle piping or mess. Its stainless so not the cheapest around but has stood up to salt atmosphere for years and is easy to keep clean.

Yep, spirit stove all the way

Yep, spirit stove all the way for me. Safe and clean, no risk of gas in the bilges. We use bio ethanol so we’re even environmentally friendly. Some say they are slow to heat but I’ve never really noticed. Maybe if you have a cast iron wok!?

We have the Origo single

We have the Origo single burner and it works well. We tend to stay in marinas so have recently wired for shore power and now just use either an electric kettle and an induction hob.

Good old propane stove....I check the gas line regularly and turn the bottle off after each use.
