thanks for posting your interesting comments re: Genoa's seems Roly is the only member so far in favour of using a Genoa.I shall hang fire for the moment as not urgent and quote's vary from £600inc vat (crusader sails 135%) to Jeckells approx £800, Blue Water Yachts post cheaper prices from USA.
My sail plan is Mac Jib (worn) Roller furling Boom with Crusader Mainsail,which I consider the best 'mod' I have added albeit expensive and a cruising chute (Crusader sails) which I love after the getting it up bit "Simon" the Chute is black on white star shape which suits our white boat
with my dear Wife on the helm I am on the foredeck rigging the Chute with the Jib up to mask the Chute from filling, I love the sight of it downwinding wishing I could photograph from nearby, last season we held off two similar size Yachts for about an hour till we arrived at our destination averaging 6kts. Mind you generally I regard 4.5kts as pretty good for our Mac, perhaps others would comment on their times.
