Bimini

Hi there, I am just looking at fitting a Bimini. Have done all my measurements but would appreciate any input regarding how to miss the boom and if any members have one fitted any other issues they had. Going the cheap and cheerful (eBay) route at the moment but if you have one you're particularly pleased with, recommendations would be good. Cheers, J

Ok, got something wrong there....

Was just asking if anyone had fitted a Bimini and if so what problems they had and if they have one that suits their needs: where they got it from. Many thanks, J

I have a bimini in black

I have a bimini in black original mac factory fitted cost about £370 when new, reasonable condition. There are a couple of wear marks on cover due to contact with back stay. I removed it from the boat this spring because I did not use it. Easy to fit just 4 screws into side deck. Offers, buyer collects from near Hayling Island Hampshire.

Hi David. Potentially

Hi David. Potentially interested. Could you let me have a pic if you have one? Can you sail with it up? What is it made of? etc. Many thanks. Jamie

The bimini was fitted to a

The bimini was fitted to a 26x it was difficult to sail with bimini up as it could foul the main sheet where it attaches to the boom from steering consol. With a 'M' it may be different as main sheet is on slider . The cover is black 'brushed?' canvas. I Have made some measurements which may be of some help. The frame is 'U' shaped distance between deck fittings 75 inches or 190cm. Framework folded height is 5 foot , when erect height is 4 foot, measurements to within 1 inch, when erect the bimini is 4 foot long front to back. Four adjustable straps hold the bimini at the angle you require when erect, attach end of straps to pushpit and side rails.

attached are some pictures for information
