Sailing a 26

I previously asked what's there much of a difference between sailing a 26 m to a 26 x to a 26c but I didn't get any replys regarding my question . Are the x and m less stable than the 26c ? I am sure it is a question which is asked at macgregor events .

Re: Sailing a 26

Hi Andrew

I've never sailed a C so I can't comment on those boats, but there's not much difference between an X and M. The M added a few refinements such as the rotating mast and some extra ballast at the keel, but in my view the effects are minor.
Both boats are quite "tippy" but I would not say unstable. Perhaps better to say that the stable angle of heel is higher than most fixed-keel yachts.
Anyone got any views on the C?

Thanks rick , I know that some people say the 26 c is more of a sail boat because of the shape of the hull. I have always found the c very stable , and everybody I have had out with me always say that she is very stable , but I have never been on a x or a m . It would be good to hear from someone who has had experience of the three models ,
