Hi, For a while now I have felt a resonance/vibration intermittently coming through the boat when sailing with the keel fully released - nothing too much but noticeable. Yesterday I donned some goggles, dived under the boat, took the keel in my hands and gave it a bit of a shake about. There was a significant amount of play in the horizontal axis - perhaps half an inch or so but, now that I think about it, not sure I noted any movement in the vertical axis. I'll have to dive again to check that. Does any one have any knowledge of how much play there should/should not be in the keel. Am I about to lose my keel? When I bought the boat Brian Jones gave me some bizarrely convoluted spanners which he said were for getting to the keel nuts. Is it time to put them to the test? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.
