26x mast

Hi, does anyone know where a replacement mast for a 1998 26X can be purchased. Looking to replace one snapped in two in the recent storms. Was hoping a UK source could be found rather than Bluewater Yachts with the hope a UK one would be cheaper.

You can get a bear mast in

You can get a bear mast in two parts from bluewater yachts in the states, I think that they are about $700

I buy every month from the

I buy every month from the states mainly for my motorbikes and cars.

If the mast is $700 i would estimate total cost including shipping would be £950 all in. I could be wrong but that is roughly how it works out for me.

 We imported £3000 worth of

We imported £3000 worth of stuff from bluewater yachts & got a bill from FedEx for £800 late last year which ruffly equate to about 35%. I think that one reason it was so high is that we had a aluminum frame for a dodger & tariffs for aluminum is quite high. But even at just over a thousand pounds for a mast from bluewater yachts is still very cheap.

I know that some Macs have

I know that some Macs have been fitted with Z-spars masts as replacements, they're based in Ipswich. You would need to re-work the hinge at the foot, but I think that otherwise it's quite doable.

Just been looking at a ybw

Just been looking at a ybw chat site, sailspar.co.uk seem to be well spoken of, so may be worth a call.
