Just checked the outboard lock that secures the outboard to the transom on Star. Squirted WD40 in the key hole and wriggled the key a bit and to my amazement the key turned. Amazement turned to dismay as the cover won’t budge even though the cone next to the largest cone is slightly loose. So, does anyone know what should come off when the key turns 90 degrees. The complete assembly or does it the next smaller cone and key come off or just the key barrel?
Have left it soaking in WD 40 so am crossing fingers that it might loosen off and come away without me getting annoyed with it!
Ref macgregor 26 X. My Macgregor logos have faded. There a uk company that will make some but they need size etc. My Mac is abroad so i cant get the dimensions. So if anybody can post the details i will get quotes. Regards to all David Phillips.

Attached is a photo of the 26M logo sorry it's not very clean and I dont know if it is the same as on the 26X. I assume a printer would scale the .jpg to size and re-colour, to help I have taken the following measurements;
The oval measures 321.5mm (w ext) x 62mm (h ext) x 1.5mm wide
The M measures 34.5mm h x 24mm w
The A measures 22.5mm w x 20.5mm h
The first G measures 27mm h x 26.2mm w
The 2 and 6 measure 15mm w x 25mm h

Hi guys, many thanks for the hel re-Mac logos. I believe i have eventually been able to identify the item ( What a strange web site )-
I have ordered 2 at $7.5 each plus post. apart from the difficulty in locating these items on their site (it was in a sub menu )- they rejected my debit card ? they offer paypal- which was removed at check out ? Any way they seem happy with my mastercard. regards David Phillips.
I couldn't get their payment system to work so have contacted them by email asking if the stickers can be bought from the UK and just shipped in the post. I don't know if others would also be interested but at about £6 each that seems reasonable but the £15 normal shipping cost seems a bit OTT.
