Having read about various centreboards dropping to the bottom I have ordered a new pin and bracket from America.
Is there a technical manual / with how to best fit new centreboard pin? If someone could advise?
I am hoping to sail from Mallaig to the Isle of Eigg in september .

I approached the fitting of a new centreboard with much trepidation.
In fact it wasn’t too bad a job at all. Rather than my posting a long account using a mobile phone whilst away on holiday, I’ll give you a call on my return this weekend if you’d like, and talk you through how I approached the task....

FYI (and everyone else's) I would strongly caution against putting phone numbers in forum posts. These pages are viewable to anyone on the net, and there are untold numbers of robots around that scan pages looking to hoover up stuff for spam purposes.
You can find any member's contact details on their account profile page, which you get to by clicking on their login name wherever it appears as a link. The profile pages are only viewable by other members, so you must be logged into the site to be able to see them. This keeps the personal information out of reach of pesky robots.
