I’ve been looking through the postings on the Big Mac and notice that “Stumpy John” commented that he has to create a new password every time. I thought it was something I was doing wrong so have not made a fussy about it.
I wonder if it’s anything to do with the fact that I use almost exclusively Apple gear to log in Mac Mini, iPad, iPhone .
Any advice would be great, as I often want to reply to a post but can’t get in without creating a new password .

Hi John
I replied directly to Jon on this, and I've been aware that the password recovery process isn't very obvious as to exactly what to do. However, I've found a small add-on to Drupal (the system that runs the site) that makes it much simpler. Next time you request a new password you will see it. You'll have to create a new password, which you should be able to use in future to login.
Another point to be aware of is you must allow cookies. The site won't work if they are blocked.
Using a Mac shouldn't have any effect, the web is technology--neutral. I use Linux, haven't touched Windows for years!

Hello,
I'm able to log-in ok now thanks - it may well have been a cookie issue but regardless the new password page is much better - thanks Rick!
