I have a circa year 2000 Macgregor 26x which I’m currently re-wiring. I note that in the heads, an extra switch panel has been installed which nearly covers a previous round hole on the wall next to the aft, I guess which is about 8” in diameter. What used to be installed in this hole please? One of the old Macgregor videos quickly panned past this area and I couldn’t make-out what it was.

My guess is this is an access panel for wiring or deck fittings. My M has a few of these which are usually covered with mirrors.
