Mast Replacement

Does anyone know where ssomeone could obtain a mast for a Mac M? I have had an enquiry from someone in France . Im sure I met a member with an M who had had to replace his mast and did so with a standard non-swivelling one.

Any ideas? btw the M mast is slightly taller than the X.

I think a number of people

I think a number of people have successfully used a Z-spars mast as a replacement. But probably needs a custom bracket fabricating for the foot.

Can anyone confirm this for an M?

We have a Z-spars mast on

We have a Z-spars mast on Pilchard but it does need something at at the foot. Dont know about the M being slightly longer. It was fitted when we bought the boat

Hi Roly,

Hi Roly,

I eventually got my new daggerboard from Blue Water Yachts in Seattle WA - maybe they can supply a mast

Cheers John

I bought the rotating 'shoe'

I bought the rotating 'shoe' for the bottom of the M mast from Blue Water Yachts and was impressed with the friendliness and expertise of Ezra, the parts manager.

I can't be sure but I think it only cost about £20.00 or so; can't remember as it was long ago; the old one had buckled when the mast collapsed but the only other damage was a bent spreader which I replaced myself..
