All,
In response to Liz's pleas for articles for our magazine, I was thinking it might be helpful to do a "roundtable" type of article on the value of RYA training. I have done both dingy sailing courses, competent crew, day skipper, and the radio course and would be very happy to organize the discussion. Possible topics could include types of courses taken, most valuable lessons learned, etc.
If you are interested and would like to share your wonderful insights, could you please send me a private message? I'll be working on this for the next couple of weeks.
Thanks!
David

Hi David
That sounds like a great idea. Just to clarify, are you proposing that you would in effect edit contributions from other members together into one complete article?

Rick,
Exactly so...I am thinking we could agree on a series of questions and each answer according to our experience.
Thanks for the reply!

That sounds great, thanks! It might even be a series of articles? I'll send my experiences at some point. Liz
I hope lots of people respond ...
Rick, can I put you down for a "yes" as a contributor?
Liz, could you get me a list of likely suspects to contact?
I will be here this week, but out next week. I will be very happy to work on this and be the point of contact.

Yes, I'll be happy to contribute. Not sure there's time to do it for the upcoming issue, I think Liz's deadline is pretty close. It's going to take time to collate so I guess it could be done for the next one.

Sounds good to me.....gives me time to get others on board. I think it would be best with 3-5 people chiming in.
