1) Is there an optimum mainsail reefing system for us given the swivel mast. Has single line returning to cockpit or cleating at the mast been discussed please. My ‘M’ has no system at the moment but the mainsail has two reefing (cringle) points. I could do with some guidance please before I start drilling holes all over the boom, the mast and the deck!!!!
2) Also does reefing have to involve the mainsail exiting the base of the mast on the downhaul or would luff slides allow folding?
