Can anyone tell me if its possible to purchase the wood interior window trims as fitted to some 26M
I would like to fit these to my vessel as i feel they enhance the look of the interior.
I'm new to ownership and have just joined the club.
Also i wish to fit some interior heating at modest cost . any suggestions?

interior window trim

Hi paul. I guess you have one of the newer mac Ms that had them removed for a clean look. Like you I think they are good but if adding I would not use the original Mac Stuff since it is plastic laminated chipboard and has a trim Which expands and pops off . I would make a pattern from another boat and cut them out of ply-wood . If you found a way to en corporate a shutter sorts that would be great . I find that a Ronseal mahogany stain varnish matches very well with the galley laminate . I have made various ply bits for my M .Some of which I have put in past magazines .

Welcome Paul to the Mac family. Good advice again from Roly which leads you away from seeking out originals, if you were lucky enough to find anyone that supplies any Mac parts in the UK! My M (Snowflake) has the trim, which I agree is prone to lamination but they do, I believe, add to the warm look. I don’t know if you have discovered yet but as a MOA member you can, as one of the many benefits, view past publications of its Mag. and all its invaluable help and tips directly from this forum site, so perhaps we could jointly ask Roly could you help a little further, which volume of the past magazine is your “Ply Bits” published please. Paul if you are handy with a jig saw I could send you an etching of my window trims if that would help! Happy sailing Paul I bet like me you cant wait for the spring. John.jennings

Thank you Rick I shall get on to the task.
Hello Rick thank you for the advice regarding Paul and the MOA member list. Can I please ask if there is a way that I am not using to bring up the PDF of members in a 'Sorted Order'? It would help I think if the list were either sorted by member number or better still alphabetically by name. Just a thought on behalf of the impatient! ;) john.jennings
Hi John - the list is in order of surname. There are occasions when I might make a mistake and do it wrong, but that's the intention, and the current list is correct.

I have an original complete set of new 26M (early) interior window trims that I am happy to sell for a very reasonable price if anyone wants them.
Colin if you can contact Paul I shall not take the etching till I know there is still a need. Hope Paul gets this and all are happy. Seasons Joy. John.jennings
