My recent purchase of a 2006 M has left me with a problem it was collected with all of the rigging in a box. The question is where to start if you have never seen am M in person fully rigged? Any idiots guides would be very welcome.

I'm guessing you didn't get a copy of the owner's manual with the boat. It covers rigging in plenty of detail, being intended for people getting a new boat "out of the box".

Hello Mr Jones Thank you for sending replies to both of my postings. Yes I did get the owners manual but there is nothing like word of mouth when you are in the dark is there. I hope to meet a fellow owner that has the rigging still up at this late stage in the year so that I can see it all and ask questions. I know its more likely to be me but the owners instructions are (as a newbie) not so clear. Thank you again for your valued support. John

We will be operating out of Garlieston in the Machars Galloway South West Scotland. We are spoilt for choices when it comes to where we should practice with our new M but the problem is getting started with the boat having all of its rigging stored below when we collected the boat. I think I have the measure of it from the owners book and other publications but would value wise words from the initiated, particularly the standing and running rigging aft of the mast. Sorry to drag this out. But if any member has a sketch or drawing or even photo's for me of the whole mast showing standing and working/operating rigging, then this newbie would be eternally grateful. The owners manual is just a set of close-ups that do not show lanyards and sheets in full view where they are fixed at both ends (top to bottom).
This all might sound a bit basic but imagine yourself as a beginner with no experience or examples to go by! If members can help please.
