Looking at my boat today , there is a number 908 stamped into the stern of my boat, it is just above what I think is the registration plate, the late says Mac w 2927D191 does anyone know what they mean ,are they telling the age of the boat.

This is the boats HIN (hull indentification) no, the MAC W tells you it's water ballast, the last number is the year of manufacture IE 91 =1991, think if my memory serves me wll that the D is the month (A-Jan, B -Feb so D is Apr) and the rest is the hull serial number.

Does any one have any other information on my boat she is called equanimity . I know it was based in Preston for a couple of years and she also has a badge for lake Windermere and the owner I bought the boat from in Preston also told me she was up in loch lomond for a while thanks andrew

Congrats, this looks like a solid boat that hasn't been messed with a lot apart from having a few bits missing ! Very different layout of the galley from mine, btw and nice to have a 2 axle trailer. Who made your furler ? Like the idea of the hawse pipe for the anchor rode leading below the vee birth - done the same on mine but directed it out of sight at the very front :D !
