Hi
I've just brought a Macgregor 19. I towed it all the way from Limmerick to Ipswich. On this journey one of the nuts came off the hatch (I think it vibrated off on the ferry journey from Ireland). I have replaced it, but now the hatch catches at the front end when I lift and lower it, and there is some slight damage at the front edge of the hatch. There have obviously been problems with the hinges before, or the boat has been broken into here because there is a lot of filling under the hinges on the actual boat side and one of the hinges on the hatch side has had an extra bit attached. All fixings are glued/sikeflexed on, so the hatch can no longer be pulled out. Any suggestions as to what I should do? I could try to get original hinges from Macgregor, redesign hatch altogether as I've seen some people have done on the forums, or any other suggestions would be most welcome.
Many Thanks
Carol

Hatch problems

Any chance of some pics to help visualize the problem ? :?:
Hi Simon
Thank you for replying. Yes I will take some, but I'm not sure if it will help. The hatch just catches at the front and consequently a few bits of the lip have come off and I don't want it to ge worse.
