Hi Will

The board can't be swung down on the trailer, but it can be removed by unbolting the pivot bracket. This allows the front of the board to drop down, and the whole thing then comes out.

The pivot bracket is held in by a nut which you can find under the forward dinette seat, on top of the centreboard trunk. It's a 2-person job, one needs to lie underneath to support the board and lower it when free, while the other releases the nut. It'll probably take a whack with a hammer to break the sealant - be careful not to damage the threads.

Once it's out you'll be able to thoroughly clean and anti-foul both the board and the trunk. You can also replace the rope if it looks at all worn. Don't forget to re-seal the bracket bolt when it goes back.

Enjoy!
