and for some reason that I've not quite figured out, the babystays on an X are not of fixed length.... I've got them on bottlejacks as I need to keep adjusting them :evil:
Maybe Ms with their more raised fulcrum point do not suffer this vagueness

I've never had that problem on my X. The baby stays are never fully taught both sides, but they don't need to be. You need a bit of slack when attaching them anyway. So long as they stop the mast swinging to the side when halfway up/down they're taught enough!

Not perfect enough for me really... not that I'm ocd but I would have designed them to be a snug swing. Don't need slack to clip 'em on with little D shackles ;)
Am really tossing the hood design round.. a few little tweaks that I think will make them absolutely the best!
