gents,
I am giving the club racing a go on Saturday, does anyone have the Portsmouth or Clyde handicap for the Mac 26x, I have the Kelly hanson spinnaker ready to go as well, last time it went it, it ended up having a wash in the sea, trial & error.

Hello Rob
I asked the same question a couple of months ago & got the following (edited)reply from another member:-
" PY for a Mac 26X is anyone's guess.
The Mac 26c used to have a PY of around 1215 when racing at RDYC, however if you look at a more definitive source http://www.byronsoftware.org.uk/bycn/byboat.htm you get a PY of 980!
If I was asked to guess a number for the 26X I would probably go for something like 1200. This is about the same as a Cornish Shrimper. When racing those boats with my 26X, I used to beat them in light winds, and they would beat me in F4 and above.
I found this list http://sailatmayflower.co.uk/ppsa/Copy%20of%20PYlist01-2010.htm which shows a Mac26 CARPE DIEM racing under 1196. Don't know if this is an X. "
This may be helpful albeit late!

Have you tried looking on the us forums? I seem to remember vaguely seeing something on the sudject.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice; In practice, there is.
